2019 FEATHER CABERNET SAUVIGNON Rating: 95 Points (Jeb Dunnuck)
“All Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Feather is a
rich, powerful wine loaded with notions of cassis, graphite, scorched earth,
and crushed stone. Full-bodied on the palate and concentrated, it has building
tannins, a great mid-palate, and the balance and class to benefit from 4-5
years of bottle age and, I suspect, evolve for decades.”
2018 PEDASTAL MERLOT Rating: 96 Points (Decanter)
“An utterly spectacular showing…revels in its Turkish coffee
aromas with sandalwood, dark currant, chocolate fudge and blueberry compote
rounding out the bouquet. Unabashedly big, the acidity and firm tannins hold
this gorgeous core of blue and dark fruits in place.”
2018 SEQUEL SYRAH Rating: 97 Points (Jeb Dunnuck)
“Loads of black fruits, smoked
game, liquid violets, and cracked pepper notes emerge from the 2018 Syrah
Sequel, which has gorgeous Syrah wildness and gaminess, full-bodied richness, a
pure, elegant, seamless texture, ultrafine tannins, and a great finish. Count
me impressed. You could safely put this up with the best Syrah coming out of
Washington and California.”
2018 CHESTER KIDDER RED Rating: 94 Points (Jeb Dunnuck)
“Aromas of blackcurrants, smoke and
toasted herbs. Full-bodied with a lot of earthy, leathery character. Slightly
chewy tannins. I like the brooding complexity and intensity here.”
2019 PIROUETTE RED Rating: 94 Points (Jeb Dunnuck)
“The 2019 Pirouette Red Wine is a
mix of 56% Cab, 33% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec and Petit
Verdot. Currants, spicy oak, burning embers, and smoked tobacco are just some
of its nuances, and it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, building,
chalky tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It needs 3-4
years in the cellar, but it’s terrific.”
2019 SAGGI RED Rating: 92 Points (James Suckling)
“Aromas of blueberry,
boysenberry and cured meat. Full-bodied with firm tannins. Charcoal comes
through. Dark fruit and chocolate, too. Pleasantly rich. 52% sangiovese, 32%
cabernet sauvignon and 16% syrah.”
