Community Tasting Notes: “A rarity from the first year of production for this winery. This wine was ordered off the list at All Seasons in Calistoga. The first 375 brought was corked. It was whisked away and replaced with a sound 375 bottle. This was really a nice "Port". Age had worked its magic on this one. In comparison to a top Portugese 1977 Port, this wine was much more rustic and clearly more advanced. But, it held on well to its raisiny fruit and delightful sweetness. It was not too spirity. Lovely with dessert and to accompany an after-dinner cigar.”
