The 2011 "Bergfeld" Cabernet is a classically Bordeaux blend of 86% Cabernet, 7% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, all from the Hall Estate vineyard in St Helena. Grown in the soils of an ancient valley floor riverbed, this fruit yields a restrained, round, full-bodied wine with particular uniform focus. Dense ruby/purple in color, this wine displays harmonious notes of ripe blueberry and earthy tobacco with a long finish. Maturity at 15+ years
