“The other wine from Hall ’s Artisan Collect ion is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain District . A simpler, backward, foreboding style of Cabernet Sauvignon, the mountain elevation gives the wine more structure, masculinity and tannin. The color is a dense purple, the wine less forthcoming and showy compared to the other cuvées from Kathryn Hall, but still impressive. Rich, full-bodied and built for 15-20 years of longevity.”
