“The star of the three 2015s is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon and this sensational wine is pure perfection in the glass. Offering an off-the-charts bouquet of blueberries, black cherries, incense, graphite, cigar wrapper, and flowers, it’s ripe, unctuous and gorgeously concentrated on the palate, all while staying ethereal, elegant and seamless, with no weight or heaviness. Utterly sensational stuff, it’s already a joy to drink, yet is going to benefit from 3-4 years of cellaring and keep for two decades or more. Given its power and richness paired with an incredible elegance, it reminds me of the 2009 Haut Bailly. Bravo! “ (12/2017)
